See Yourself Stronger with Math

Personalized Math Tutoring
Students learning math vary in so many ways.

How do they approach unfamiliar concepts?
How do they take in new information most efficiently?
How do they consider different techniques?
How do they absorb and integrate new skills?
How do they prefer to study?
How well do they work independently?
How do they draw and write?
How do they relate the concrete to the abstract?
How do they express themselves when they speak?
How do they view themselves as a learner?
What victories or scars do they carry from past learning experiences?

When you consider all of these "variables" and all the possible values of all these variables, there is a truly infinite range of learners. I've interacted with hundreds of learners but no two are alike. As an educator, I strive to know where the student is across all these parameters.

I get to know each learner in detail - not only how they learn, but what topics excite them. Math is easier to master when it aligns with your interests and passions.
The vast majority of math the student will learn will be without me there. I focus on developing skills to overcome the barriers that inevitably arise in their independent work.

Scheduling
Being flexible is key to supporting different students. Most people think of tutoring as an hour a week. While that works for some, it doesn't work for all students. They may benefit from more than one shorter work time per week. They may benefit from occasional homework support. Sometimes the coaching is best over Zoom, sometimes chat-based support is most efficient. Let's talk about your individual situation and what will work best.
